Summer in OTO II

siblings in OTO II

It's been only a few months that I launched Over The Ocean II and I am so happy to see families all across Europe enjoying their summer in pieces from our collection! I received beautiful pictures (if you follow us on instagram you might have already seen some of them) and since I think they actually show OTO much better than any brand picture, I'd like to share them here with you. It's also not too late to still get some of these garments for you or your little ones on Sale now - and this summer seams endless, right?!

I was so enthusiastic to see, that Nu, the founder of Mikanu, seams to be as much a fan of my shop as I am of hers! Don't her kids look so good in OTO II?! And can you see how comfortable these pieces are?! Nu offers in her shop a beautiful selection of handmade bags, home accessories and toys. I just ordered some beach blankets from her - you should have a look at her site!! Nu was born in Vietnam and grew up in Germany where she lives with her family and crafts her soft toys and pillows. (Her daughter is wearing the Una dress, Katie top, and Luna overall from boy+girl and the Rose Apron dress, the boys are wearing Kurta shirts from boy+girl and the lucky eye t-shirt, broadway shorts from nico nico).

From France I received these pictures: the two sisters Ada and Coco in Wovenplay and misha & puff. I love following their mom's instagram account petitechoses_, she is such a good photographer and Nina also owns a bar in Scotland!

You know that we have also some pieces for women, right? Doesn't Irene look stunning in this Black Crane combination? And her son Pepijn is wearing his Vernon pants and Striped tank from nico nico. Irene is a dutch painter living in Copenhagen, you can see some of her art on her instagram galery and you will soon see more of her here, because she will be our new Over The Ocean muse!!!

Tessa Hop is also one of the women I portrayed for our muse blog, she gave us a glimpse into her family life and stunning home, that was more than 2 years ago. This summer her new member of the family is wearing our soor ploom romper!

The Una dress from boy+girl is simply the softest and most comfortable summer dress. Pipa, the daughter of my friend and founder of the German kidswear label Merci Marie, Isabelle, wears it in cotton candy.

My niece Lou chose the soor ploom Willow dress and, for her first day of school, our pencil hair clips

Sarah Neuendorf is a Berlin-based illustrator and young mother of a sweet baby girl. I love Sarah's illustrations and toys under the label Greta's Schwester and offer them in my American store since several years. But it was a big surprise when this sweet picture showed up in her instagram stories!

Sarah chose the cozy popcorn sweater from Misha & Puff for Anuk and, yay, a denim jumpsuit from Ilana Kohn for herself!

Another surprise was when I received this picture of the adorable Uma Ray in our baby jumper from a former colleague of mine. I had worked with Mareike on a lingerie-collection more than a decade ago, we had lost contact and I did not even know that she had a baby until I saw this sweet picture!!

And last but not least this picture, which is also very special to me, because it shows mother, daughter and son, all #happyinoto ! Isabel is a teacher by day and blogger by night. She lives with her family in Belgium and I love following her visual stories

Thank you so much to all these lovely mothers and all other customers who have supported my idea of bringing small, independent labels from the U.S. to Europe. Seeing you and your little ones feeling so comfortable in our clothes does not only make me happy, but also the designers of these well-made garments that will hopefully stay in your family (and then other families) for a long time! Please continue to send me pictures... xx, Birgit
